It is believed that William and Mary had no children of their own but Stella Tinline and other descendants report that one of Margaret's daughters (also called Margaret) was brought up by William and Mary. In the 1901 census there is a Margaret Bell aged 9 listed as a domestic servant to William and Mary. William's brother Richard is also living with them at 4 Amelia Street, Elswick. Margaret went on to get married at age 18 and gave 5 Amelia Street as her address. 1 |
