General Notes: Bryan Tinlin: His family was from Framlingham, Suffolk, and emigrated to South Africa in 1854 [TF]. He had been previously married and widowed [TF]. He was an administrator in the Kimberley Mines [TF]. He died 31 Oct 1907 at 1 Hyde Park Gate, London, the home of his sister-in-law, bur. Hampstead Cemetery, London [London Times, 2 Nov 1907, pg. 1]. Deaths. “BUTTON – On the 31st Oct., suddenly, FREDERICK BUTTON, of Durban, Natal, at the residence of his sister-in-law, Mrs. W. F. Vetch, No. 1, Hyde Park-gate, S.W., in his 65th year of age. Funeral at Hampstead Cemetery, Fortune-green, West Hampstead, on Monday, November 4th, at 11 a.m.” Frederick married Esther Mary Tinline, daughter of George Tinline and Helen Madder, on 23 Oct 1882 in St. James Church , Dover, England. (Esther Mary Tinline was born on 25 Nov 1848 in North Adelaide, South Australia and died on 4 Dec 1887 in , , Durban, South Africa.) |
