Notes from Clara Louise Brown: According to a letter from Harry Spens Stonehouse, son of John Thomas Stonehouse, Martha, his aunt, died of war injuries in Glasgow as did 2 grdchrn, a boy and girl, 9 and 11, during the big air raid in 1942. Two other grandchildren left England after the war and went to Canada to a relative named Nathaniel Douse. Stella Cunningham remembers visting the family in Glasgow. Martha did not die in the air raid but dies a year later. The children who died were Thomas (11) and Ellen(9) - their mother (Jane?) had already died of breast cancer.
