General Notes: Bryan Tinlin: At the time of their marriage they were both living in Corbridge, he was working as a joiner and she as a straw hat maker [reg. trans.]. In 1871 they were living in Elswick, Northumberland and he was working as a house carpenter and joiner [cen.]. They were living in Benwell, Northumberland in 1881 [cen.]. They were living in Benwell in 1891 and he was listed as a retired joiner [cen.]. She died 4th quarter 1891 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, age 76 [CR]. He is probably the George Tinline who died 4th quarter 1896 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, age 81 [CR, LK]. Children: Mary, Ann, William, Jane, James, Margaret, Sarah, George Parker (?), George Parker (2nd). (Margaret Brown was born about 1815 in Hexham, Northumberland, England, baptised on 14 May 1815 and died in 1891 in Newcastle -on-Tyne.) |
