William Searle

  General Notes:

William's birthdate is taken from the Monumental Inscription in Puttenham
Churchyard. It reads:-

' In memory of Wm Searle who died 2 Aug 1789. Aged 80 Years.

He appears to have left a will which was dated 15 September 1786 and signed by
him. Witnesses were John Mott, William Shotter, and Arthur Davis.
The will was proved at London on 15 October 1789 by Ann Searle. William had
died and been buried in August that year at Puttenham.

" William Searle, of Puttenham, Surrey, Yeoman.
All property to dear wife Ann and her heirs, executors and assigns for
ever. Said wife sole executrix.
